About Mikayla
Mikayla Childrens Centre is a small 35 place, not-for-profit, community-based centre providing care and education for children from birth to six years. Our programs are designed to nurture each child's individual needs, and we are committed to creating a safe and enriching environment for every child in our care.
We are situated in the heart of the Blue Mountains in Katoomba, NSW. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Rooms
Star Room (0-3 years)
At Mikayla Children's Centre, infants and toddlers engage in activities that promote their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Our experienced staff ensures that your child's early development is supported with love and care so that they flourish and grow.
Rainbow Room (3-6 years)
The Preschool program at Mikayla Children's Centre focuses on preparing children for the next phase of their education journey. Through a balanced approach of structured learning and play, we lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Our Approach
At Mikayla we believe that early childhood education is a time to be celebrated and valued. It is the foundation for lifelong learning. We believe that the child’s sense of agency is something that should be carefully cultivated and nurtured to foster development that is well rounded, inclusive and free from bias.
